As far as a lawyer tearing apart the definition of common sense, how about the definition of "a disturbing level." If any fines are issued, none of them will stand up in court because of the loose language used in this new "law." It seems that they just want an excuse to harrass people, it will not result in any NEW revenue for South Heart. If anything, it will cost MORE tax dollars when people take these stupid fines to court! This whole thing is dumb on SO many levels.

That's a really good point, robin... I wonder how hard it would be for a lawyer to tear their definition of "common sense" apart...

Oh my god!!???!? "Chuck Andrus says the ordinance can always be changed and common sense will dictate who is fined and who is not" Common sense should NOT dictate who gets fined. That is what the LAW is supposed to do!! That is why we have laws- to determine what is illegal, and what penalties will be enforced! So, who's common sense will it be left to? This is the most rediculous thing I have heard in a long time. Yeah, let's rely on common sense, which is something the government has TONS of..... I am completely dumbfounded, but I guess that's a small town for ya.

I highly doubt the SH cop is allowed to carry a taser... I think a flashlight is her only weapon.

Generally speaking, more laws that are non-specific and hard to enforce, don't solve anything.
