Folks, while this looks like a good idea, this plan is simply not legal under Federal Law. The Internal Revenue Code restricts homebrewing to personal or family use only. Sampling or sharing homebrewed beer with other persons will pass the homebrewing test but selling tickets ($) to sample the beer will not pass the personal or family use test under any circumstances. The Treasury Department (Tax and Trade Bureau) is not likely to come calling; they have more important things to do, But I simply must reiterate the point; selling homebrew is not legal under Federal Law. Give the beer away, sell food, sell stuff, restructure the event.
