Rams reach next round of tourney

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Mekana Barnes had 17 kills and Jamie Strauss added 16 to help Colorado State beat Florida International 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19 on Friday in the opening round of the NCAA national volleyball tournament.
