Doctor settles defamation suit with Dakota Clinic: Schmitt once considered for position at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson

FARGO — Dakota Clinic has settled a lawsuit filed by one its former doctors who claimed the clinic defamed him by giving him a “do not recommend” evaluation when other hospitals, including St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson, was considering hiring him.
