Tom Merkel, a city employee, opens up a fire hydrant while Rick Scheeler, also a city employee, waits to check the water pressure at a fire hydrant at Hawk?s Point, Tuesday afternoon in Dickinson. The Dickinson Fire Department and the Water Utilities Department will be conducting flow testing of fire hydrants that began Tuesday and will continue through June 17. City officials say there may be a temporary and slight discoloration of water due to the testing. The discoloration poses no health risk and should clear up by letting water run for a short period of time. Citizens with concerns or problems to report may call Dickinson City Hall at 701-456-7744 for assistance.
