A trail of destruction was left by a July 8 tornado on Dickinson’s south side, specifically by the Heart River, shown here. City Forester Justin Aufforth estimates several hundred trees were destroyed by the tornado, and a group of volunteers plans to plant about 90 trees in memory of the event and in honor of Arbor Day.
