Harvest abundance

Georgiann Meduna displays a basket filled with peppers, including a 1-pound pepper on Saturday afternoon in her garden on First Street West. Meduna, who has been gardening in Dickinson since 1953, credits her success with peppers, tomatoes, cabbage and other vegetables to growing the produce in full sunlight, plenty of city water and organic fertilizer. She loves to garden, and will spend the next few days and weeks freezing and processing the remaining vegetables. She also shares her vegetables with her family and sells some for extra income.
