Through the first six weeks of the elk reduction program, volunteers have removed 270 elk from Theodore Roosevelt National Park as of Tuesday. TRNP superintendent Valerie Naylor said the weather has definitely made it easier on the program’s second-year mission. The program started Oct. 17 and ends Dec. 23.
