Dickinson High senior Jess Herauf throws the javelin May 21 during the West Region track and field meet at Dickinson State and the Badlands Activities Center. Herauf had a remarkable senior year and was named the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscaster and Sportswriters High School Female Athlete of the Year for the 2010-11 school year.
