Freshly picked pumpkins plucked from the patch at the Dilse’s home in Scranton rest on wood planks in the family garage Sept. 10, as the Dilse brothers prepared to open, Pumpkin Junction, a pumpkin selling business they operate together, on Sept. 15. This is the second year that the four brothers, who range in age from 6 to 14, have joined forces to grow a half acre of pumpkins in a field near the family’s home.
