Allen Edman of Grand Forks uses a propane-powered auger to drill holes through the floor of a Sno-Bear tracked vehicle and through more than 3 feet of ice and snow Feb. 25 on the Ontario side of Lake of the Woods. Edman, a middle school teacher who guides on weekends, has started using a Sno-Bear for ice fishing because the vehicle provides the ideal mix of mobility and comfort.
