DENVER — Funeral services were held July 9 at Fort Logan Military Cemetery for Gary Charles Kruger of Denver, formerly of Marmarth.
Gary suffered a stroke and upon being rushed to a Denver hospital and checked out, he had a blood clot on the brain which had shut everything down. After surgery, life support was hooked up but he was found to be brain dead and after removal of the life support, he passed on into eternity.
Gary was born on March 21, 1951, the eighth son of Harold and Lousie Kruger of Marmarth. He completed the first eight grades at Marmarth and then one year of high school in Baker, Mont. He dropped out of school and then worked for various people until his parents signed him into the U.S. Army.
He served in Korea and Vietnam before getting out.
To mourn his passing, he leaves his wife Chung, whom he’d met while serving in Korea, two daughters; Melody and Teresa, and one son; David. He also leaves six brothers and three sisters.
A memorial service is planned for 5:30 p.m. Aug. 7 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marmarth.
