Berna Jean Oe Walter

Berna Jean Oe Walter, 78, passed away on Feb. 2.

Berna Jean was born in Medora, and raised on her parents ranch outside of Belfield. She married Michael Walter in 1949. They lived in Belfield where their three daughters were born. In 1958 the family moved to San Diego, Calif., for work and in 1960 their son was born.

Berna Jean was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; her brothers, Dale, Kieth and Dean Oe; her sisters, Joyce Morton, Emily Oe and Carol (Gary) Selby; her children; Jeanne ( Don) Dean, Connie (Charles) Kessler, Nita Quintero and Greg (Dee) Walter; seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Berna was the epitome of love and laughter. She touched many lives, welcomed all and offered help to any in need. She will truly be missed.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to your favorite charity.
