Donald Woodbury Miller (Musty), age 94, of Beach, passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, in Wibaux, Mont.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, in the chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Beach, with Pastor J.T. Burk officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Donald was born on June 6, 1916, in Beach, a son of Marshall and Olive (Woodbury) Miller. He graduated from Beach High School with the class of 1935 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While serving in the military he met the love of his life, Alma Snyder. They were married on Aug. 21, 1945, in Biloxi, Miss. They were married for 65 years.
They had two sons, Alan and Don E. Miller. Donald worked with his brother, Bud Miller at Millers Grocery for many years. He enjoyed visiting with everyone he met and knew the best cut of meat. Don was a member of the Beach Volunteer Fire Department, Masonic Lodge, and American Legion. He loved the outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, picking chokecherries, or rides in the country. Don loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a generous and caring man.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marjorie (Mary Margaret) Olson; his brothers, Marshall (Bud) and Rex Miller and granddaughter, Melissa Miller.
Donald is survived by his wife, Alma of Beach; two sons, Alan (Gwen) Miller of Beach and Donald Ernst (Judy) Miller of Willmar, Minn.; two sisters, Barbara Cameron and Betty Dickerson both of Beach; his brother Bruce and his wife Monica of Glendive, Montana; five granddaughters, Patti Binstock of Strandquist, Minn., Shelly Miller of Redwood Falls, Minn., Angie Miller of St. Anthony, Stephanie Anderson of Bremerton, Wash., and Alysia Steele of Beach and nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
