Bonnie K. Metz, age 54, of Lincoln, Neb. died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1957 in Dickinson to Steve and Lillian (Samek) Metz. She went to elementary school in Carson and Dickinson and attended Dickinson High School.
She married Gary Hauck in December 1974, and shortly after moved to Lincoln, Neb. where she became a mother to a daughter and a son. She worked at Square D for 21 years where she also served as Union Steward, devotedly defending the interests of fellow employees.
She will be remembered as a loving mother who was passionate about taking care of people and animals. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Kio, as well as friends and family.
Bonnie is survived by: Daughter and son-in-law Heather and Mark Fusco of Lincoln, Neb.; son Jason Hauck of San Diego; step-grandson Gavin Fusco of Lincoln, Neb.; brothers and sisters Lois Berger and Ervin (Gerry) Metz and Dianne (Clark) Dawson, all of Dickinson, Harvey (Carol) Metz of Sedona, Ariz. and DuWayne (Joan) Metz of Jennings, Kansas; sister-in-law Helen Metz of Bismark; nephews, nieces and cousins.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Arnold Metz.
Celebration of life is 2 p.m. Saturday, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 South 14th St. Lincoln, Neb.
Inurnment is at the Remembrance Chapel at Lincoln Memorial Park.
