Mike Frenzel, 91, Dickinson, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Wibaux Nursing Home, Wibaux, Mont.

Mike’s Mass of Christian burial is 9 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Kregg Hochhalter as the

celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson.

Visitation is Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary and vigil service at 7 p.m.

with Deacon Bob Stockert presiding.

Mike Frenzel was born March 1, 1921, in rural Stark County, south of Dickinson, to John and Rosa (Miller) Frenzel. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in the Frenzel School District.

Mike married Carol Kono on June 23, 1953, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Gladstone. They made their home on the family farm until retiring into Dickinson in 1985.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the German Hungarian Club. He was an avid bowler for many years and was a member of the Bowlers Hall of Fame.

Mike is survived by his wife, Carol; their four children, Tim (Diana) Frenzel, Jamestown, Wayne (Diane) Frenzel, Mandan, Becky Frenzel, Dickinson, and Joan Frenzel, Longmont, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Frenzel, Cherie Frenzel, Angela (Dustin) Johnson, Jon Frenzel, Suzanne Frenzel, Mark Frenzel, and Sara Frenzel; great-grandson, Evan Frenzel; great-granddaughter, Kaia Johnson; and one brother, Clemence (Helen) Frenzel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Frank, Florian and Joe; sisters, Anna and Rosa; and an infant sister, Rose.

Arrangements are with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
