Graveside services celebrating the life of John Nellermoe, 84, Trotter, will take place in the spring.
John passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud, Minn.
John was born to Norman and Ruth (Carlson) Nellermoe on Feb. 2, 1928, in Wibaux, Mont. He was raised, the eldest of seven children, in the western North Dakota area.
John is a known as a jack-of-all-trades, a handy do-it-yourself electrician and carpenter, and a helpful neighbor who’s always eager to lend a hand. He applied these skills and built a farm home.
John was a recently retired farmer and rancher with many varied interests. He ran the pyrotechnics for the Trotter Fourth of July fireworks show for many years and was always the family photographer.
John enjoyed estate sales and auctions and his many finds contributed to his love of collecting.
He was a member of the National Weather Bureau for 61 years, a member of the Lutheran faith community and active in his local church.
John is survived by his siblings Burneal Albin, Colo.; Norma Martin, Fla.; Theresa (William) Hollar, Fla.; Dorothy Lingk, Minn.; George Nellermoe, Minn.; Genevieve Dahl, S.D.; nieces and nephews; and friends.
He is preceded by his parents Norman and Ruth Nellermoe, and niece, Charlene Gerads.
