Don Thornton

A funeral service for Don Thornton, 91, Dickinson, is 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Dickinson.

Visitation is Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Thursday.

My name is Paul Cannon. I graduated from New Rockford in 1957. I can not even write the words to tell you how much Mr. Thornton meant to me. He help me in so many ways. I still play my trumpet and until a couple of years ago I played in the Vancouver, Washington Pops Orchestra. My son is 52 and he still plays his trombone in his church and four of our grandkids are playing instruments. Four of our kids played through high school. It just goes on and on. With tears in my eyes I say thanks, Don and good bye, God Bless
