Cheryl Weigum

Cheryl Weigum, 74, Belfield, died Monday, Dec. 24, at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Abiding by Cheryl’s wishes, there will be no services held.

Cheryl Roten was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Nebraska, the daughter of Steve and Nelly (Dewey) Roten.

She was united in marriage to Vernon Weigum on Nov. 28, 1953, in Marysville, Kan. Together they farmed and at the same time Cheryl worked as a bartender at Arnie’s Place in South Heart.

She loved to read and work on crossword puzzles.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Jay (Doretta) Weigum, Belfield; two grandsons, Jason (partner, Maverick Montez) Weigum, and Justin Weigum; two great-grandchildren, Angel and Jadin Weigum; and four sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, on July 26, 2011; her parents; son, Vernon Jr.; two brothers; and six sisters.

Arrangements are with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
