The Mass of Christian burial for Joseph “Joe” A. Reisenauer, 89, Bismarck, formerly of Mott and Lemmon, S.D., is 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Mott.
The Mass of Christian burial for Joseph “Joe” A. Reisenauer, 89, Bismarck, formerly of Mott and Lemmon, S.D., is 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Mott. Rev. Charles Zins will officiate with burial in Greenhill Cemetery in Lemmon.
Visitation is Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon.
Joseph A. Reisenauer was born March 24, 1923, in Sheffield, the youngest of nine children born to Ignatz and Mary Eva (Kilwein) Reisenauer. He attended school in Sheffield.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Jahner on Nov. 3, 1943, in New England. To this union, 11 children were born: Joseph Jr., Dorrie, James, Mary, Charles, Gerald, Barbara, Carla, Jeffrey, Timothy, and Laurie. Joe and Barb lived many years in Lemmon, where he worked for Peterson’s Implement.
They spent their retirement years in Mott and were active in St. Vincent’s Catholic Church. Joe was a resident of St. Vincent’s Care Center in Bismarck for the past three years. He passed away there Wednesday, Dec. 26.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara, 10 children, Joseph (Susie) Reisenauer, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; Dorrie (Tony) Binstock Sun City West, Ariz.; Mary (Bob) Pavlicek, Sturgis, S.D.; Charles (Jane) Reisenauer, Ellendale; Jerry (Donna) Reisenauer, Bison, S.D.; Barb (Harlan) Schnell, Vale, S.D.; Carla (Steve) Gerriets, Bismarck; Jeff (Wanda) Reisenauer, Moorhead, Minn.; Tim (Christi) Reisenauer, Great Falls, Mont.; Laurie (David) Hauck) Richardton; and daughter-in-law, Edie (Bob) Nesland, Rapid City, S.D.; 37 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to St. Vincent’s Care Center and can be mailed to Jeff Reisenauer, 1425 41st Ave S., Moorhead, MN 56560.
