Lois E. Wegner, 87, Bowman, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Center in Bowman.

Funeral services for Lois are 10 a.m. today at the Bowman United Methodist Church. Rev. Ron Olson will officiate with burial to follow in the Bowman Cemetery.
There was a family and friends service on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. at the Krebsbach Funeral Home chapel.
Lois E. Twist was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Dickinson, the daughter of Earl and Ethel (Prideaux) Twist. She was raised on the family farm north west of Gladstone.
She attended rural country school, Dickinson High School and Dickinson Teachers College. After graduating college, Lois moved to Mott, where she taught for one year until moving to the Bowman area, where she taught at Cottage, Amidon and Bowman Schools.
On Feb. 17, 1952, Lois was united in marriage to Marvin Wegner at the Methodist Church in Dickinson. After their marriage, they made their home on the Wegner farm near Bowman. There they raised two sons, Wayne and Glenn.
Lois not only substitute taught, but she also helped out with many of the daily duties of running the farm.
Marvin passed away on Jan. 19, 1990. Lois then moved into Bowman where she has since made her home.
Lois and Marvin were reunited in Heaven on the same exact day, just 23 years later, and we will celebrate her funeral on the same day as Marvin’s as well.
Throughout her life, Lois enjoyed many things from hunting with Marvin, fishing with her sister, Betty, until health no longer allowed them to go, watching birds and searching and collecting arrowheads.
Lois enjoyed being outside and in her late-70s also helped out with the dinosaur digs.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Sunshine Homemakers Club, Retired Teachers Association and the Southwest Healthcare Auxiliary.
Lois will be remembered as a wonderful lady, who always spoke of others with kind words. She was an excellent role model and a woman to be admired.
Lois will be deeply missed by her sons, Wayne and Denise Wegner and Glenn and LaVonne Wegner both of Bowman, grandchildren; John (Alyssa) Wegner, Lisa Wegner, Mikala Wegner, Cody Wegner and great granddaughter, Hunter Wegner, sister, Betty Neal of Dickinson and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Earl and Ethel, husband, Marvin, sister, Bernice Kolesnick and brothers, Robert, Earnest and Donald Twist.
