Frank L. Kuntz, 82, Dickinson, died Friday, March 1, at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson.

Frank L. Kuntz, 82, Dickinson, died Friday, March 1, at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson.

Frank’s Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Military honors will follow the Mass and be provided by the Dickinson Honors Team. Interment will take place later this spring at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson.

Visitation is Monday from noon to 8 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary and vigil service at 7 p.m., with Sister Ivo Schoch presiding.

Frank Leonard Kuntz was born April 28, 1930, in Dickinson, the son of Gregory and Monica (Reichert) Kuntz. He was raised and educated in the Dickinson area.

He joined the U.S. Army and served honorably from March 31, 1951, to Dec. 31, 1952.

Frank returned to Dickinson where he began a lifelong career as an auto body technician.

He was united in marriage to Caroline Stroh on Sep. 10, 1955, at Yakima, Wash. They made their home in Dickinson where they raised three children.

He was a member of the St. Anthony Club, and the St. Pius Verein.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to garage and auction sales, painting vehicles and motorcycles (esp. Harleys), watching western movies, reading Louis L’Amour books, and mowing the lawn and smelling the fresh cut grass.

Frank’s greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his wife, Caroline; three children, Janel (Callen) Schoch, New England, Gregory Kuntz, Mandan, and Jeffery Kuntz, Killdeer; three grandchildren, Heather (Shawn) Schmitz, Chad Schoch, and Jessica Kuntz; two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Brennan Schmitz; and four siblings, Pete (Mary) Kuntz, New Rockford, George Kuntz, Dickinson, Christine Frenzel, Glendive, Mont., and Leo (Betty) Kuntz, Dickinson.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Kuntz; his parents, siblings and spouses, John (Monica) Kuntz, Jack (Mary) Kuntz, Rose (Frank) Schwindt, Pauline (Tony) Decker, and Betty (Harry) Heidt; sister-in-law, Gladys Kuntz; and brother-in-law, Fred Frenzel.

Arrangements are with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
