I think Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., hit the nail on the head when he said “We’ve normalized perversion and perverted God’s natural law to the point where the only thing not tolerated anymore is a stand for the truth.”
Journalism, properly viewed, is not about writing writs, but about righting wrongs. Thus, when I became a campus editor several years ago, it was with the purpose in mine to do my part in helping to correct problems which currently plague our society. In particular, I tried to shed light on the problems in the relationship between higher education and the U.S. Department of Education.
As a Korean War veteran, it was very gratifying to witness the community support for the Stark County Veterans Memorial as evidenced by the great turnout at a recent benefit breakfast held at the St. Anthony Club.
My dream is becoming a reality! The dream I have had for more than 25 years, and shared by many other U.S. veterans of southwestern North Dakota, is to build a memorial to honor all veterans of Stark County.
I’ve enjoyed reading the editorial boards of the major North Dakota newspapers, owned mostly by Forum Communications, rail against the irresponsible actions taken by the Republican supermajority in the 63rd legislative session.
Concerning the opinion expressed by the Forum Editorial Board in The Dickinson Press on April 23 belittling Sens. Hoeven and Heitkamp for voting down a proposed Senate bill for more control, in stating that they lacked courage, you miss the point.
