FARGO — When North Dakota State fans left TCF Bank Field in the wake of a 37-24 victory in 2011, the hope for many was to book a return trip to the University of Minnesota as soon as possible. ASAP is quickly turning to no chance at all.
FARGO — Jerry Moore won 242 games as a football coach, with most of those coming in a legendary run at Appalachian State (N.C.). His final game was last December when the Mountaineers lost in the second round of the Division I Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.
FARGO — With one big tackle over the middle and an interception on a deep pass in the end zone, North Dakota State cornerback Zach Colvin had a little message Saturday afternoon for the Bison football coaches: He wants to be included on the depth chart.
GRAND FORKS — As a radio analyst, the University of North Dakota coach Chris Mussman sat in the press box Saturday during the annual Green and White spring game. But Mussman, in his new role, didn’t get the chance to second guess the play of his young quarterbacks.

FARGO — It didn’t take long before the college football vultures began circling over the North Dakota State football program. When Montana State exercised a buyout last month for next September’s game at the Fargodome, Bison athletic director Gene Taylor said a few schools tried to take advantage.
