The Quarter Mile Band, from left, Cal Ullendorf, Mike Klein, Nathan Gunwall and Ryan Krebs, kicks off the fourth season of Dickinson’s Got Talent on Thursday evening at Prairie Hills Mall. Auditions continue at 7 p.m. Thursdays, with the season finale Feb. 25 at Trinity High School. The program is a fundraiser for Arts on the Prairie.

Residents drove up to the Prairie Hills Mall parking lot in Dickinson to view the Sights and Sounds of the Holidays lights display. “Sights”-seers were treated to hot chocolate, toys, cookies, candy and other goodies for stopping by. The display was presented by Prairie Hills Mall and the Dickinson Chamber of Commerce. Floats were being judged again this year. Marathon Oil was the winner of “Best Float Display” last year. Results were not available as of press time.

Set against a backdrop of boldly colored walls and peacefully melodic music, globetrotting photography exhibit “The World at Night” (TWAN), features breathtaking photos ranging from celestial events to planets and stars and is designed to bridge science, art and humanity, according to the TWAN Web site.
