Census workers are becoming harder to find, one United States Census Bureau official said.
The U.S. Census Bureau requires the state of North Dakota to have approximately 3,600 people in its applicant pool by the first week in April in order to have enough workers to help complete the 2010 census.
BISMARCK — West Virginia and Nevada officials told North Dakota legislators Thursday how they moved workers’ compensation coverage from state-run monopolies to private companies competing in the marketplace.
BISMARCK — Five workers were axed at North Dakota’s workers’ compensation agency Wednesday,—three who had sought whistle-blower protection and two others carrying baggage from the height of the Sandy Blunt era. A sixth was demoted.
