North Dakota voters on Nov. 6 decided 66 percent to 34 percent to ban smoking in all public places and workplaces, including bars, through Measure 4. This ban takes effect 30 days after the election, meaning that by Dec. 6 all bars must be smoke free.
BISMARCK — The House snuffed a smoking ban for North Dakota bars and hotel rooms Thursday.
Opponents of House Bill 1213 said an existing smoking ban law is sufficient and it constituents who runs the bars will suffer the most, if the law is beefed up.
MEDORA —The Iron Horse Saloon won’t be the only bar unable to serve alcohol in May.
After a unanimous vote, the Medora City Council found the Little Missouri Saloon in violation of the city’s three-strike rule regarding liquor licenses during its regular meeting Tuesday.
