BISMARCK — Senators sent a combined property tax and income tax package back to the drawing board Tuesday, with several saying their vote was “a message to the House” that the proposed tax cuts are issues to be voted on separately.
BELFIELD — A proposed $900,000 street improvement project will not be taking place this year.
It was announced that due to 60 percent of the residents in the project area protesting, the project would be killed, at a special meeting of the Belfield City Council Wednesday night.
School board elections coming soon
Deadlines approach, as few candidates apply
Area schools will be holding elections to fill open school board positions this summer. School officials said that positions that receive no applications will vote someone in by write-in. Those schools with no application deadline listed have already passed the date. The list is as follows:
