BISMARCK (AP) — People who attended Dickinson State University seminars about Theodore Roosevelt, energy development, and computer software and hospitality training were signed up as students without their knowledge, apparently to pad the school’s enrollment figures, college workers said Wednesday.
Dr. Richard McCallum has requested an evidentiary hearing with the State Board of Higher Education to discuss his pending dismissal as Dickinson State University’s president, according to a letter sent to The Dickinson Press at about 3 this afternoon from his lawyer, Benjamin Thomas.
A North Dakota Highway Patrol officer hand-delivered a letter to Dr. Richard McCallum at his home Sunday that says the state intends to dismiss him as Dickinson State University president. McCallum intends to fight for his job.
