GRAND FORKS — Parts of the Red River Valley can expect major flooding in the coming weeks, as recent snowstorms and cold temperatures combined to substantially increase the risk of “a big one,” according to the National Weather Service.
DEVILS LAKE — The Dakota Bull Session, an annual gathering of veterans to share stories of World War II, the Korean War and other military experiences for the past 23 years in Devils Lake, will not reconvene this spring.
Charlie Vang of Brooklyn Park, Minn., reeled in this 4-pound, 10-ounce white bass from Devils Lake on Sunday. The 19-inch fish broke the record of 4 pounds, 8 ounces. That fish also was caught at Devils Lake, in 2000.
