As March turns to April and southwest North Dakota starts to shake winter from its hills and valleys, its people will begin to spend more time outside and less in the confines of offices, schools and vehicles.
A vital downtown is the key to growth and retention, or so has been the case in architect Gary Reddick’s 40-plus years of experience, as he shared at a meeting of city officials and downtown business owners at the Dickinson Public Library on Tuesday evening.
Community members will gather Thursday in downtown Dickinson at the intersection of First Street and First Avenue West for Alive @ 5.
The band A Avenue will provide music from 5-8 p.m., and vendors will be on-site with food, refreshments and more. All are welcome and the event is free.
A parking lot could soon take the place of a 1902 home near downtown Dickinson and multiple housing developments are one step closer to sprouting up after the Planning and Zoning Commission granted several recommendations during a meeting at City Hall, Wednesday morning.
