Pizza has been an important part of Russell Meads’ life.
“I grew up in the pizza business, working in the pizzeria when I was a kid,” he said. “I did it as a summer job in high school and in college I did it during the summer break.”
While Steve Heidrich was trying to save his lumber yard from flooding in Minot in 2011, his wife was babysitting their 4-year-old grandson in Pittsburgh where their daughter was finishing up school. The month-long babysitting stint often included trips to a neighborhood frozen yogurt shop.
Despite temperatures hovering around 20 degrees below zero, CherryBerry Dickinson, a self-serve frozen yogurt bar, opened Thursday and had sold out of some flavors and toppings before the weekend hit and Dickinson warmed up.
