Mike Krajewski, 49, a father of three, died in an incident about 3:30 p.m. Saturday at a Halliburton fracking location about 24 miles north of Watford City, according to the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office.

More than half of the schools in southwest North Dakota failed to meet the goals of the Adequate Yearly Progress test instituted by No Child Left Behind. Education officials said Friday the results come as no surprise.
North Dakota education officials are worried a test mandated through the No Child Left Behind Act is hurting North Dakota schools. In response, the Department of Public Instruction is expected to apply for a waiver from that portion of the law in September, officials said Monday.
