FARGO - U.S. Rep. Rick Berg, who refused to concede the U.S. Senate race early this morning despite trailing in unofficial results by 2,814 votes, announced just before 12:45 p.m. that he will concede the election to Democrat Heidi Heitkamp.
With U.S. Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp pulling in 50.3 percent of North Dakota’s vote and Rick Berg at 49.3 percent, a recount can be requested, according to the North Dakota Voting Information and Central Election Systems website.
FARGO — The signs and the chants said “Heidi.” But the rock star atmosphere in the Fargo Civic Center most definitely said “Bill Clinton.”
