BISMARCK — Lawmakers on two Senate committees recommended passing the proposed Medicaid expansion program that would provide insurance coverage to an estimated 20,000 North Dakotans who are currently living without.
BISMARCK — A group of 23 insurance, medical, family and religious organizations have signed onto a pledge supporting the state’s expansion of Medicaid, and are calling on the Legislature to enact the federal program.
BISMARCK — Gov. Jack Dalrymple said he thinks the politics associated with Obamacare should not deter the state from implementing a federally-funded Medicaid expansion, even though lawmakers from his own party say it isn’t a popular idea.
BISMARCK — A Democratic senator was pleasantly surprised to see an expansion of Medicare in Gov. Jack Dalrymple’s funding proposal for the Department of Human Services and hopes a bipartisan effort will keep it from being stripped from the legislation.
As health care reform lurches forward in Washington, proposed legislation would chop nearly half a trillion dollars from Medicare. This is yet another example of greedy, cold-hearted, racist Republicans slicing Medicare so they can laugh as Granny shivers on a subway grate and nibbles her cat food with a broken fork.
