BISMARCK — Tribal leaders are pressing lawmakers for a bigger cut of oil production taxes on the Fort Berthold Reservation in western North Dakota, saying the extra money is need to fund drilling impacts unforeseen when the tribes first signed the pact with the state five years ago.
BISMARCK (AP) — A New York company is asking North Dakota regulators for $1 million to help build a mobile plant that would convert natural gas that’s normally burned off as a byproduct of oil production into farm fertilizer.
MANNING — A proposed agreement between Dunn County and oil companies that would help keep up the county roads was heavily criticized during a special meeting at the Dunn County Courthouse on Tuesday afternoon.
Much of the clamor you’re likely to hear coming out of Bismarck the next few months will be reverberation — echoes of the continuing oil boom in western North Dakota as the 2011 Legislature tries to deal with ramifications.
