JAMESTOWN — A hearing on a House bill to grant nearly $10 million to Stutsman Rural Water District is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the North Dakota Capitol. If the bill passes, the grant would allow Stutsman Rural Water to proceed with an expansion planned for this summer.
When presented Monday with a budget plan that would raise the average rural customer’s monthly water bill by nearly 13 percent, members of the Southwest Water Authority Board of Directors had a simple answer: thanks, but no thanks.
