DSU to host small business workshop
Dickinson State University’s School of Business and Entrepreneurship, in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center, is hosting their inaugural Small Business Workshop Thursday, Feb. 22, in the Student Center Ballroom.
Sponsored by Vision West North Dakota and Stark Development Corporation, this free event will help new and existing small businesses succeed in today’s business climate, as stated in a news release..
“This is a great time for anyone interested in starting or growing a business to meet with all the small business resources in the region in one place,” said Darrell Neubert, SBDC director and assistant professor of business at DSU.
Topics include where to get a patent or trademark, what certifications they can earn and how to do business with the government.
Participants will get one-on-one time with agencies that will complement their current business strategies, explore the benefits of partnering with experts who faced similar challenges and learn who can help them develop a business or marketing plan.
The agencies participating include the Center for Technology & Business, the SBDC, the ND Procurement Technical Assistance Center, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Score, Stark Development Corporation and Vision West ND.
The deadline to sign up is Feb. 19, and seats are limited. Register by contacting Lydia at email@example.com.
