Lang takes plea agreement

Nicholas Lang, 19, Dickinson, has pleaded guilty in writing to criminal trespass. The plea agreement was filed Monday.

As part of the agreement, the charge was lowered from a felony to a misdemeanor.

If Lang complies with the terms set by the court, such as two years probation, the charges will be dismissed. He also must pay court fees.

He was charged after he and several others broke into a Dickinson residence in September. A TV was stolen and Lang was not charged with theft, but others have been.

The incident is believed to be connected to a fight which occurred at the same residence the morning before the burglary.

Tury Escobedo, 25, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in connection to the fight earlier this month. His punishment is one year on probation.

Leo Madrid was also charged with disorderly conduct in connection to the fight. That charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement earlier this month.

Several others have been sentenced in regard to the fight and burglary. Four men have not yet settled their cases.
