FARGO -- Authorities arrested a Stark County sheriff's deputy and his mother -- the wife of the Ada, Minn., police chief -- on Saturday. They were reportedly arrested when the son refused to leave the Kenny Chesney concert at the Fargodome after vomiting on concertgoers and his mother pushed police officers, according to police and court documents.

Justin Krohmer, 26, was asked to leave the Fargodome about 11 p.m. after vomiting on people in front of him, but he refused to do so, Fargo police Sgt. Mark Lykken said.

Krohmer's family then intervened and his mother, Susan Krohmer, "was physically pushing the police officers while they were dealing with Justin," Lykken said.

Justin Krohmer, of Dickinson, was arrested and charged Monday in municipal court with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer, both Class B misdemeanors.

According to court documents, he "pulled away, kicked and swung his arms, and struggled with officers who were trying to escort him out."

Susan Krohmer, 47, of Ada, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing a public officer, Lykken said. Charges against her were pending Monday.

Both were booked into the Cass County Jail. A court date is set for July 2.

Stark County Sheriff Clarence Tuhy said Krohmer is still employed by the Sheriff's Department. He is on duty and Tuhy doesn't see a reason not to have him on duty.

"Everything's under review at this time," he said. "I'm not going to comment until I see the reports."

If somebody vomits, the Fargodome's policy is to ask them to leave, the police report states, Lykken said.

Tuhy said he is reviewing the matter.

"I've been informed of stuff that supposedly has happened, but as far as any comments, I've got no comment right now," he said.

Justin Krohmer joined the department on Dec. 15, said Kay Haag, the county's deputy auditor. As of Monday afternoon, his employment status was active, she said.

Krohmer previously was a deputy in McLean County for about 14 months.

He declined to comment Tuesday.

Susan Krohmer is the wife of Ada Police Chief Wade Krohmer. Their listed home phone number was disconnected. A message left at Wade Krohmer's office was not returned.

It's unknown whether Wade Krohmer also attended the concert. Fargo police typically don't release the names of witnesses, Sgt. Ross Renner said.

Ada City Attorney Tom Opheim said he didn't know if Wade Krohmer attended the concert, but said even if he did, it likely wouldn't affect his position as police chief.

"If he isn't charged with a crime, I can't see how it would affect his job, but that's really up to the City Council to decide," he said.
