DSU President McCallum formally asks NDUS for review regarding his dismissal
Dr. Richard McCallum has requested an evidentiary hearing with the State Board of Higher Education to discuss his pending dismissal as Dickinson State University's president, according to a letter sent to The Dickinson Press at about 3 this afternoon from his lawyer, Benjamin Thomas.
North Dakota University System Chancellor William Goetz sent a letter Friday informing McCallum he intends to terminate his employment because of a review which allegedly found 180 students were enrolled at DSU without their consent. McCallum received the letter Sunday.
McCallum has said he will not resign and will do what he can to keep his job.
Goetz set a deadline of Thursday at 5 p.m. for McCallum to request a review of the situation.
See Thursday's Dickinson Press for more on the story.
