Dashcam video shows semitruck narrowly avoiding collision between two Minn. troopers
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety released a dashcam video Tuesday showing a semitruck narrowly avoiding a collision with two different state troopers in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
The video shows the semitruck slamming on the brakes while driving in snowy, icy conditions, causing the semitruck to spin off the road.
Dashcam audio can be heard from the trooper inside the vehicle paging the trooper in front of him saying: "Look out! Look out! Look out!"
Thankfully, the semitruck came to a stop in between the two state trooper vehicles and no one was hurt.
The video serves as another reminder from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety to slow down and drive carefully during poor driving conditions. In December, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety released separate dashcam video of an incident that took place during the summer of 2016.
In that incident, the video shows a drunk semitruck driver swerving off the road, nearly knocking down multiple road signs.
When the trooper approached the semitruck driver, the driver was so intoxicated that he fell to the ground when attempting to exit the semitruck.
Upon completion of multiple field sobriety tests, it was discovered that the driver had a blood alcohol content of .28 percent and was convicted of third-degree DWI.
