Truck driver pleads not guilty in crash that killed three

MINOT – The driver of a semi oil tanker involved in a five-vehicle crash last June near Stanley that killed three people pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges of negligent homicide.

Vernon Neil Wright of Georgia was arrested in January and charged in North Central Judicial District Court in connection with the fiery crash on U.S. Highway 2 that caused his truck to explode. Three people died and three others were injured.

A pretrial conference set for June was postponed, and a new hearing date has not been set.
