A physical altercation broke out at a hotel on the 400 block of Elks Drive on Friday afternoon, ending the arrest of two men.

Dickinson Police officers were called to the Comfort Inn after occupants reported hearing “yelling and loud noises” coming from a room, Sgt. Kylan Klauzer said. Upon arrival, they found Jacob Page, of Dickinson, and Matthew Stirrett, of Texas, with injuries and other evidence “that there had been a physical altercation that had taken place between the two,” he said.

Both men were charged with assault. Page, 28, was charged with a class A misdemeanor; Stirrett is facing charges of a class B misdemeanor.

The two men had been sharing a room at the hotel, and it is believed they were working at the same company. Page and Stirrett were both taken into custody.

Warrant served on Dickinson woman

Officers arrested a Dickinson woman on a Stark County warrant Friday evening after responding to reports of verbal domestic violence.

Dana Edwardson, 26, was taken in on unspecified charges unrelated to the domestic violence call. No other arrests were made in the incident.

Man cited for carrying loaded firearm in his car

Officers were called to investigate reports of a Dickinson man sleeping in his car Saturday morning, where they found him with loaded firearms in his vehicle.

Jess Thielen, 27, had been staying on the 3200 block of Calvin Drive. He was cited for carrying a loaded firearm in his car. Officers arrested Thielen on an unrelated Stark County warrant.

Thielen was taken into custody, but Dickinson Police Sgt. Kylan Klauzer said he was unsure if the man had posted bond or not.

Dickinson man arrested for sex with minor

A Dickinson man was taken into custody early Sunday morning on charges of corrupting a minor.

Officers responded to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a possible sexual assault victim. The 17-year-old female identified Theothile Rwenegana, 30, as her alleged assaulter, and officers found the man at the address the victim identified.

Sexual intercourse allegedly took place between Rwenegana and the teenage girl.

Bismarck man arrested for paraphenalia

Officers responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle at Woody’s Feed & Grain on Sunday afternoon arrested a Bismarck man for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joel Skabo, 24, was taken into custody after officers stopped his vehicle as it drove along West Villard and found Skabo with what they believe to have been methamphetamine.

Man arrested for trespassing at hotel

A Dickinson man was arrested for criminal trespass Sunday night after repeatedly returning to the Red Roof Inn.

Front desk attendants had previously asked Jeffrey Collingwood, 39, to leave the property. Officers believe the man had gone to the hotel to speak to an ex-girlfriend who was staying there, Dickinson Police Sgt. Kylan Klauzer said. Collingwood was taken into custody.
