Victims identified in fatal crash near Hillsboro on I-29

HILLSBORO — The woman killed and three others injured in a crash on Interstate 29 on Tuesday were identified Wednesday.

Phyllis Gordon of Ada, Minn., died from her injuries shortly after the car she was in was rear-ended around 2 p.m. near Hillsboro, according to a report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Jennifer Myers of Borup, Minn., was driving the car Gordon was in. She slowed down or stopped in the left lane to cross the median on I-29 when Abby Sletten of Hatton hit her from behind, the patrol said.

All four women were wearing seatbelts. Myers and her other passenger, Paige Myers, were taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks for their injuries. Sletten was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
