Former Beulah postmaster indicted
The Beulah postmaster misappropriated more than $1,000 of postal funds and falsified emergency salary advance requests in the names of his employees between last summer to February of this year, according to a court document.
Edmund Sharp IV was indicted on May 14 on federal charges of misappropriation of postal funds and false statements.
He used employees’ names on the salary advance requests and then authorized the money to himself, according to the indictment.
A two-day jury trial is scheduled for Aug. 12.
