Jury delivers verdict in burglary trial

BOWMAN — A jury convicted a Minnesota man quickly during his burglary trial on June 19 at Bowman County District Court.

After a two-day trial, the jury delivered a guilty verdict on three charges in 30 minutes, according to court clerk Jan Werre. Antoine Marquis Murray faces up to 20 years in prison for felony charges of burglary and criminal trespassing, as well as a theft of property misdemeanor charge, according to court documents.

Prosecutors said that Murray had robbed a safe that contained nearly $50,000 in late January from Jeff Czywczynski’s home in Scranton.

Murray’s ex-girlfriend, Melissa Carlson, is awaiting trial on July 30 on the same charges as an alleged accomplice.

Murray will be sentenced on Sept. 30.
