Grafton woman shot during break-in

GRAFTON — A woman was shot in the leg during a break-in at her home Tuesday morning in Grafton, police said.

Her injuries were not life-threatening.

Assistant Police Chief Anthony Dumas said no one had been arrested, but investigators have identified a “person of interest.” Police do not believe that person and the victim knew each other, Dumas said, but he did not name them.

Officers arrived at the house about 11:10 a.m. and found the homeowner with a gunshot wound to the leg.
