Man linked to Minn. pharmacy standoff arrested

BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. — A man linked to a suspected robbery Wednesday at a Breckenridge pharmacy that triggered a three-hour police standoff was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing stolen property.

Christopher Ryan McCourt, 33, was arrested across the Red River in North Dakota’s Cass County.

McCourt was found to have prescriptions from Thrifty White Pharmacy on his person when he was arrested by Cass County Drug Task Force and North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation officers, Breckenridge Police Chief Nate Harder said Friday.

“We do expect additional charges from our side of the river as well,” Harder said.

McCourt was being held at Cass County Jail.
