DUI suspect left trail of car parts, Fargo police say

FARGO — A Fargo woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of driving under the influence after allegedly crashing into a parked car and several street signs, leaving pieces of her own car in her wake.

Fargo police Lt. Joel Vettel said police received a call reporting multiple crashes, including a crash into a parked car, on 32nd Avenue South, between midnight and 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver also had hit several signs on the median along University Drive South, Vettel said.

Officers responded to the area and identified the car, which the driver pulled into a lot in the area.

It had significant damage to the body, and also matched the parts that had been left in the street at the crash sites, Vettel said.

The driver, Brenda Lovgren, 42, Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
